Eligibility – Who can apply?
The Long Term Visit Pass Singapore holds eligibility criteria for who can apply and what they require. They are,
- You can apply for a LTVP for your family members if you hold an Employment Pass or S Pass.
- You should be earning a fixed amount of $6,000 every month. The combined household income is not to be considered for this criterion.
- If your monthly income is $6,000, you can get a LTVP for common-law spouses, unmarried disabled children aged 21 years and above, and unmarried step-children below 21.
- If your monthly income is $12,000, you are also eligible to get a LTVP for your parents.
- An established, registered company in Singapore should back you.
If you are an EntrePass holder, you can avail a Pass for your family members, given you meet the minimum annual business spending requirements and local employment.
- A pass for your spouse or unmarried children can be obtained if your annual business spending is at least $100,000 and you have employed three full-time employees.
- A pass for your parents can be obtained if your annual business spending is at least $200,000 and you have employed six full-time employees.
LTVP Application – How to apply?
To apply for a LTVP, you can apply online by downloading the application from the official website Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
A sum of $105 must be paid when applying. A period of 3 weeks is the time it takes to process the application for the dependants of Employment or S Pass holders. For dependants of EntrePass holders, it takes 8 weeks to process the application. A sum of $225 is to be paid when the pass is issued.
Required Documents for Long Term Visit Pass Singapore
The documents that are necessary to be submitted along with the application are:
- The personal details page of the candidate’s passport is required, irrespective of which family member is the candidate.
- For common-law spouses, a copy of the common-law marriage certificate is required.
- For unmarried disabled children (aged 21 and above), a letter from the medical practitioner regarding the child’s condition is required.
- For unmarried step-children (aged below 21 years), a copy of the court’s order on the child’s custody and a no-objection letter from the child’s other biological parent.
- For parents, a copy of the employee’s birth certificate that mentions the names of the parents.
Renewal
The employer or the employment agent should do the renewal for the Pass.
- A sum of $225 should be paid for the renewal of a Pass.
- The application to renew a Pass can be done six months before the pass expires. You can start applying when you receive the renewal forms, and it has to be submitted 2 months before expiration for the pass.
- If you are the dependent of an Employment Pass holder, the renewed pass is valid for 3 months. If you depend on an S Pass holder, the renewed pass is valid for 2 months.
